Diaspora You Saved Me...

DIASPORA offers up to $100,000 of accidental medical coverage anywhere in the world, including the USA.  For all non emergencies, you would visit one of our partner hospitals in Mexicali, Mexico where you will receive state of the art care for very low deductibles (click here to see our deductible rates).  Diaspora does NOT cover MEDICAL emergencies, ONLY ACCIDENTS (such as car accidents, broken bones, accidental gunshot wounds, etc.). But for an additional fee, you can purchase supplemental coverage for such things as heart/stroke emergencies.  It typically costs an additional $50/month for up to $30,000 of coverage.  This will be discussed by your underwriter.

If you have a pre-existing condition, DIASPORA will still cover you but you will have to be ridered out for any care that is related to your pre-existing condition for three years.  For example, if you have diabetes, you will still be covered for accidents and surgeries that have nothing to do with diabetes such as a hernia repair, a hysterectomy, etc.

For procedures that are not found at the Mexicali location, you will have a $5,000 credit towards your procedure in any PlanetHospital facility.
